For the Serving
  • 4 buns Soft Buns gluten-free buns are available; can also serve over rice or mashed potatoes

Equipment

  • Skillet

Method

Preparation Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-low heat, then add thinly sliced onions. Sauté for about 15 minutes until caramelized.
  2. Push onions to one side and add ground beef to the skillet. Cook for 8-10 minutes until fully browned, draining excess fat.
  3. Stir the caramelized onions back into the skillet with the beef, add gluten-free soy sauce and seasoning, and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Layer cheese over the beef and onion mixture, cover with a lid, and let it cook on low heat for 2-3 minutes until melted.
  5. Assemble the sandwiches with the beef mixture on toasted buns, drizzling extra melted cheese on top.
  6. Serve hot with crispy oven-baked fries or a fresh salad.
