  • 1 can Diced tomatoes Fresh tomatoes can be used in the same quantity.
  • 1 cup Heavy cream Light cream or coconut cream can be replaced for a lighter option.
For the Gnocchi
  • 1 package Potato gnocchi Store-bought is recommended.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh basil Can substitute with dried basil in smaller amounts.
  • to taste Salt Adjust as per preference.
  • to taste Pepper Adjust as per preference.
Optional Addition
  • to taste Parmesan cheese Nutritional yeast can be used for a vegan option.

Cooking Steps
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chopped onion and sauté for about 5 minutes, until translucent.
  2. Pour in dry white wine, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning. Stir and let simmer for 1 minute.
  3. Add diced tomatoes and heavy cream to the skillet. Stir gently and allow to bubble before simmering for about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in uncooked potato gnocchi. Mix to coat and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until tender.
  5. Stir in freshly chopped basil and season with salt and pepper. Cook for an extra 2 minutes.
  6. Before serving, optionally sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
