  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together 1/2 cup of softened unsalted butter, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, and 1/2 cup of brown sugar for about 3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  4. Add in 1 large egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, beating until smooth.
